Unite your campus. Battle weekly. Win epic rewards!
Greetings, Heroes! Tespa is celebrating the recent launch of Overwatch with a barrage of new collegiate competitions.
Starting on July 9th, college students across North America can dive into weekly tournaments to compete for Battle.net balance! Your school can field as many teams as you'd like to compete, but we challenge your campus to unite your best players under one primary team. Primary teams can earn points for their school and additional rewards for their community!
- June 27th: Signups Open
- July 9th: Weekly Tournament #1 Begins
- August 14th: Weekly Tournament #6 Concludes
|Monday through Friday||Saturday||Sunday|
|Team registration and management||Group Stages||Single Elimination|
The Overwatch Summer Series is a rolling-registration league, meaning you can join the battle at any time, and choose whether or not to compete each week. Primary teams are automatically enlisted in each week's bracket.
If you'd like to earn points for your school and earn greater rewards, your team will need to apply to become a Primary Team. You can learn more about this program below.
Prizing & Rewards
Each weekly tournament will award the following prizes to all 6 rostered Players (as well as Coordinators of any Primary Teams) as credit to their Battle.net account balance:
- First Place: $40 USD
- Second Place: $20 USD
- Third Place: $10 USD
Loot Box (ARV USD $115.00)
Primary teams who play in at least three tournaments will receive a loot box at the end of the series! This loot box will be full of team apparel and Overwatch merchandise to share among your team and community. Supplies are limited; only the first 150 schools who meet the requirements are guaranteed a loot box.
Prove that your school is the best in North America by designating a primary team who will earn points every time they win a match!
|Round||Points Awarded Per Win|
|Swiss Stage (Saturday)||1|
If you can't compete but want to follow the action, you can check the school leaderboard on the Summer Series Compete page, updated weekly.
PRIMARY TEAM PROGRAM
Tespa is introducing a new team structure for the Overwatch Summer Series! For primary teams, we're replacing the team captain role with school Coordinators. Primary Teams will serve as the official team for their respective school, and qualify to earn Leaderboard Points and a special loot box for their community. Additionally, Tespa will be working directly with each Coordinator to ensure their school gets the most out of the Tespa Summer Series. Here are some important notes about the program:
- Only one team per college or university will be allowed to serve as a Primary Team.
- Coordinators will serve as a liaison between Tespa Compete™ and their players.
- Teams sponsored by a Tespa chapter or student organization on their campus will be prioritized over other applicants for the Primary Team program.
- Coordinators are eligible for all prizes or rewards that their teammates earn, and active Coordinators may receive a supply drop of Overwatch merchandise at the end of the season!
Please take a look at the Coordinator Program for more detailed information about their role on Primary Teams.
